Seems like a few times per year someone posts with a similar issue. I don’t know if a root cause has been definitively determined. Often a ribbon cable, sensor, or overheating are mentioned, but most suspect a ribbon cable.

Here’s just one example:

I had sort-of-zebra-stripes in whitest areas.
P4P+ still under warranty & DJI replaced...

Zebra stripes are the normal Overexposed warning. Not a defect. This is different. ???
No.
This was NOT warning.
There were no warnings.
There was no flashing.
This was frozen into resulting images...

I am challenged by this issue often and have resolved it with a ribbon cable replacement. For some reason, ribbon cables degrade over time. Must be a combination of sun, heat, moisture, all of which can negatively effect the ribbon material.

Changing the ribbon cable for the first time seems scary. After that, it's quite simple. Been there, done that. Good to know how and you will learn the operation of the gimble components. Saves a lot in repairs, too.

Not for everyone. Proper tools and mechanical Common Sense required.
