Just installed this today
I wanted to get rid of all the redundant wiring that comes with the avl58 as it's really a plug and play for the larger iosd unit.
I couldn't find a plug-n-play lead for the mini iosd (but I'm sure someone will now email me a link to one - LOL) so after a bit of testing, wire stripping and soldering, this is what i came up with.
I was going to put it all inside the phantom's body, but i couldn't then connect the BTU unit to it for changing the parameters with my iPhone whilst out and about ( i don't really want to take a laptop around with me ) AND still get to the usb port for updating the firmware on the mini isod, so i couldn't think of any other solution than this.
its a pretty easy solder job really - i've attached piccies if you're interested…
