Let's see some videos!

Here's a video that I put together for approximately 281 acres of land for sale in Northern Virginia. Needless to say, this gave a lot of open space for flying around - which made doing the job quite fun.

While flying the property, I had the Phantom go out of control range a few times - not sure if this should have happened based upon distance, so I undoubtedly need to go read up on tips and tricks for improving control range. If all else fails, I'll look at what can be done with antennas to improve the distance with a mod.

Boring video of flight around the local Flag Pole.

The video was fish eye corrected with ProDrenalin video software. Works well but increases the size of files in high quality ten fold. So I didn't post the corrected video just the original.

During the video I almost ran into the pole due to video lag in the iphone I was using...I run on 640x480 30fps so it may have been better on 15fps....didn't try it though.

The last I checked it wasn't illegal to charge for the time put into editing pictures, and for the time it took to upload and host the media somewhere... ;)

Anyway, the FAA is trying to enforce something that's unenforceable. They regulate what happens in the air - not what happens on the ground, far after something has been in the air. There's also a first amendment issue argument to be made as well, though it's probably the thinnest of all that can be made against an unreliable, nosy, interfering, and antiquated agency.

Here's a video I made at our local model rocket launch on Saturday.

Watching it on YouTube, I'm a little disappointed in how the clips that I slowed down a little look jerky. I don't see any flickering or jerkiness when I play back the original file on my PC or TV.

Nevertheless, even with the slight flicker, I like the effect that slowing down the video gives. It adds a bit more of a surreal feeling, enhancing the feel that you are flying as you watch the video.

My first actual decent fly time with this thing away from the house and neighborhoods where I could stretch it out and let it run... turned out to be a beautiful morning out there...

Oh im well aware there are no basis for there suites but I dont have the cash to fight them if they show up so until the all clear is given its best for me to wait

Sydney vivid lights June 2014.
taped up the red forward lights to stop the bleeding.
Still test flight as we know the camera isn't so good in low light.
1080 25 fps for more light to enter the shutter.
Used soft and zero on the exposure and auto for iso and cloudy.
edited with Adobe premier cc with dip to black effect for the basic fade in and out.
