Knock off batteries questions

Almost sounds like they put the scare into you, to not use a "Knock-Off Battery"
I'm sure you can understand that DJI does not want to honor their warranty in cases where a 3rd party battery was potentially the cause of a crashed and/or lost Phantom. So, if you choose to use them, you might lose your entire aircraft if something does go wrong. It's a risk you must take when using any third party accessories. Is it worth it? Only you can make that decision.

I understand, I have not used them, I don't want to lose the $1,500 I paid for my complete package that included everything I will need to fly with.

I just don't understand why the Company has a "proprietor Chip Onboard"
