Hey guys I know the phantom 3 is a little outdated but I got it online for a really cheap price and I’m quite excited to use it, I have got 2 question about it. Can
I use the drone inside so that I can practice before using it outside? Apparently this drone is a like mini leaf blower so things will be flying
And has anyone got any tips for the drone?

You ordered a P3S?

What did it come with?
Details, batteries remote, does it power on?
Can you start the motors, you don't need the app for that?

For real you well get some REAL help!

It's your turn, keep the thread. active.

Thanks for the response and to your question it comes with props and some spare props, from the image both the drone and the controller turns on, however it doesn’t come with any prop guards

Above is the link to the Phantom 3 Standard user manual. Suggest you download this manual and save for future reference. Also, I suggest you read through the manual before attempting your first flight. Flying inside is not recommended due to gps interference.

No, you do not need prop guards. They actually act like sails in strong crosswinds, making the drone difficult to control.

Final point : Do not be in a hurry to fly first time. Do a preflight check and be sure all GoApp settings are correct.

Thank you for your response and thanks for the manual, about the app you said I need to make sure the settings are correct? To make sure these are correct will this be done by looking at the manual?

Yes. The manual is loaded with information about flying your P3 Standard. I urge you to read through the manual at least twice before trying to fly your Drone. Even though they are relatively easy to fly, you need to know what to do if problems occur in flight.

Other sources of information are available also. Msingers site 'Phantomhelp.com' is crammed full of everything 'Phantom'. (msinger is a an approved vendor on the forum).

When on Phantomhelp.com, be sure to select the correct Phantom model from the dropdown menu. There you will find everything you need to know about your Phantom 3 Standard, including parts, procedures, and boatloads of other information.

I have the P2V+ remote, and extender, extra batter, can't charge it any more.
The bird, battery and the larger SD card, haven't found it yet. July 2025, I will never forget.
