I have the 3A too and have had it for years. There is a popular opinion that the charger can not do it, but I have for YEARS now without a problem. So the answer is yes. BTW I have the bone stock charger, Remote Control, and everything, no modifications.

AFAIK when the P3A came out first, it wasn't recommended to charge controller and batteries at the same time.

Correct. I know, but I have been doing it for years. I don't have hair in my palm and am not blind either.

I don’t think it’s bad for the controller or battery but it just puts more stress on the charger itself. I’ve seen an IR temp gun on single and dual charging and the charger gets hotter!

Certainly don’t do it and leave the house.
