Hello all.

I just finished re-building my Phantom 3 Pro after a mild crash. Does the gimbal look like it's hanging low? I don't remember there being a gap between the bumper and the upper frame. I do have two anti-drop pins installed. They were my spare set so I assume they're the same length as the originals.

You need to push the white gimbal dampeners through the holes in the corners of the gimbal before inserting the pins.

Ah ha! That looks so much better. I took a bunch of pictures before I disassembled, just not of those dampners. Seemed wrong to have the gimble hanging from the pins.

Thanks for the help.

I was going to say if the pins aren't loosely hanging and the retaining rings are where they should be on the pins, then yes.
Some have been using zip ties instead of the pins but besides the obvious of the pins being a secondary means of holding on to the gimbal, they also inhibit the dampers from being able to pull out of the mounting hole.

See that Gimbal can hang fully on the dampers without those pins. Pins are only to protect gimbal getting separated in sudden shocks and should not bear any load during normal operations.
