Is it just me or does DJI GO not load any photos in an Iphone 6?

I get videos when I record from the dji go app, but it's always empty in the photos department. I'm using an iphone 6 with the latest IOS. Can someone please help me out.

Do the photos not just stay on the micro SD card and you have to retrieve them from there?

It's always there, but doesn't Dji Go also save a copy, or at least it's supposed to?
