Mini 5 suits my needs with GO4 and FLY. No connection issues, big enough CPU and ram to handle flight apps, cheaper than 6.

iPad Mini 6 did not work for me with P4PV1. After about 8 months of dealings with DJI, they finally replaced it with P4P V2.0. I test flew it this morning and the P4P V2.0 works flawlessly with the iPad Mini 6.

I don't know if it is too late to answer this thread, but I use as Anker cable and have no problem getting my iPad mini 6 interfacing it Tony Phantom 4 Pro. Here is a link to the cable https://a.co/d/9xoO3Q5

Did this work for you? I have a Phantom 3 Pro and my iPhone 16 Pro (USB-C) works great with it. My iPad Mini 6 won't. I just get a "Not charging" indicator on the battery and won't connect. I have a little USB-A to USB-C adapter and it works with the iPhone 16 as well, but not the iPad Mini 6. If this is working out for you, I'll try it.
