IPad mini screen recorder

I'm want to be able to record the iPad mini screen. any free apps that are known to do this?
My device is not jailbroken

I read somewhere (here) that there is a new app not yet in iTunes called iRec. I have been searching for it with Tap-a-talk though and can't find the thread at the moment.
