iPad mini 2 with 3G only

Hi,

I am just about to pull the trigger on a P3 and plan to use my iPad mini 2 (Wifi+Cellular) on the controller.

I am in the UK where my iPad can use 4G, but I am about to move to Canada where my particular model of iPad mini can't access Canadian 4G frequencies. I will only be able to get 3G speeds.

My question is, will 3G data speeds be fast enough for satellite view and streaming (and any other cellular needs of the P3)? I'd rather spend my money on a few extra batteries than a new iPad...

Apologies if this question has been asked before (I did try and search the forums!)

I was curious because even now I get frustrated having to use 3G when I drop out of a 4G signal area!

Me too. No problem with 3G.

Don't waste the money. Cache the maps before u leave or tether with your phone at the field. I'm a tech junkie and fly everywhere and never found the need for wifi and the additional cost.
