iPad mini 2 video format not supported?

Hey all just picked up the lightning to sad card reader to transfer my photos and videos to my iPad. It worked out well but when I press play on the videos I get a message that reads video format not supported. Can anyone help?

If you are set to 1080i it won't work, 1080p or lower works on iOS, but you can load to your PC in I format.

Same thing happened to me p2v.....
