iPad 9th generation compatibility with DJI Go app

I flew a Phantom 3 Standard using a regular iPad (Gen. 4 or 5) back in 2016 where I worked and really liked it. I am considering purchasing a used P3S and will need an iPad. I want to buy a new iPad 9th Generation if it will work with DJI Go app and this model drone. The phantom help site says gen. 5-8 is compatible but I can't find any info on 9th gen. and DJI tech support only states that they have not tested it. Will it work?

I'd be shocked if the gen 9 could not handle DJI GO since it's way more powerful than the gen 5 and gen 6 iPads DJI currently supports for DJI GO.

Has anyone confirmed the Ipad 9th gen working? A lot of people are having troubles with the Mini 6, so just because it has the power does not mean it will work it seems.
