How to burn dvd after editing for high quality

After editing on mac, what program is best to burn dvd for high quality

Can't tell you what Mac program to use (I believe they dropped DVD SP many years ago) but do understand that a DVD is inherently standard definition. For the highest quality from a disc (other than a .mp4 file or similar), burn to Blu-ray.

I wonder what editing programs will leave video at its original size? and will burn the dvd too?
