High Altitude video

I'm impressed you were able to maintain control at that distance. I think DJI only quotes 300 meters.

I think we need to keep quiet on these heights attained, as I believe the legal allowed height in the UK is only 400ft. And I don't like this anymore than anyone else, but I have been a Kite Flyer for many years, and without getting special permission, the max legal height for a Kite on lines is 200ft. Which I have always considered being overly restrained.

Are you shooting at 1080p/30fps? Or 720p/60fps? Or???

Before I atempted the flight, I spoke to my local ATC and googled the UK law. If the craft is over 7KG in weight then the 400 feet rule appiles. If below 7KG, then apparently not. The ATC were not concerned at all, but pointed out that you must be able to still see the craft unaided - which I was.

Basically I took the craft staright up verically. It spun on its own on the way up which was a nice touch. I then decended vertically. No forward/backward,left,right throughout flight as I was really keen to keep the craft in the same place for safty reasons.
