I just found this free software on YouTube which I find very useful. I thought I would share with everyone. It gives weather/winds conditions right at your location. It is iOS but maybe Android. Name is: UAV FORECAST. It maybe we’ll known to All but new and helpful to me.Pics below

I’m in Alaska, I like this app. Ive flown in 20f degree wind chill so far. I’d like to know when the wind warnings happen. I’ve had gusts at 30 and it still is green.

I’ve found it useful in providing gust winds at different heights and also the precipitation probability. Been using it now for a couple of months.

The wind warnings can only be as good as the forecast data providers however they are usually a good indication of when it might be unsuitable to fly. I find the cloud cover % to be very useful- knowing when it’s likely safe to sleep in or likely to be worth getting out of bed at 4am to be rewarded with a beautiful sunrise.
