Help With Range Mods Please

Need help moding for range. Not too experienced with this, but willing to learn. Looking for at least 3000' flying range- Hight of 600' or so. Want to maintain fvp at all times if possible.

Ordered- 14db high gain panel antenna for controller - ( Good Idea or Not?)

Question- Can I only mod my controller to increase range of fvp and range of flying or do need to mod Phantom also?

Need also to know how to do wifi booster antenna mod.

Orderd (1)- 9db & (6)db omnidirectional antenna w/connection wires for booster.
What one goes where? Two antenna connection inside booster?

Get a Itelite Flat Panel antenna (2.4ghz & 5.8ghz) 14dbi One unit One Answer to all your probs
you will not need to Mod the UAV ,should get the range you are looking for.

Was told that the flat panel antenna had a very narrow operating feild and was scared to change the stock antenna out. Will it work at any angle? And I'm guessing it's connected the same way as the booster is connected?

This is approx. a 1,000ft at a 90 degree left and right angle from Transmitter !!

That link was blank to me. Only sound. But I'm at sea...so..

Is that a large pole mounted antenna?

Do you just connect to the TX with a long connection?

No, its not pole mounted it mounts on the Phantom Wireless Box ,on your Hand held Controller
its about 200 mm long x 100mm tall, with a clip that slides on to the wirelss box.
I think its a nice addition to the setup without being ugly.
The TX has to be modified to an SMA Connector, and also the Wireless box as well with 2 x SMA outputs
then the three outputs connect with short connectors directly to the antenna.
I will dig a picture up and send ,as soon as I can find one !!

The range of this antenna with Phantom Vision 2 Plus is somewhere in the region of 3,000ft (plus) out, it is the longest I have seen ,without any mods to the UAV itself.
Modifying the TX and wireless extender is a fairly straight forward job for anyone.
It looks quite a task but is just a case of doing your research on good ole U tube.
Loads of Modification vids on there.
