help with autopilot

hi guys & girls

needing a hand with autopilot, i have a phantom 4 and would like to know how to use waypoints in autopilot. Do you need to set the "home" using the go app? or does it do it automatically using autopilot? do you need dji go on? thanks guys any info im sure would be handy thanks again..
