Advice is what you give, advise is what you are doing with the advice. Noun vs. verb.

"Please advise me with some advice" might be a good way to remember it.

In the sentence quoted above, you used the wrong word. Shoulda been "advice", since you were giving it (as an object), rather than doing it (as an action).

Don't feel bad! This one is on many hot-lists for misused or misspelled words.
