HD video downlink latency (lag) - good enough for full FPV?

Has anyone yet been able to go directly from the downlink output plug (assuming HDMI or USB) on the controller to a set of FPV goggles, in particular full HD goggles?

If so - what is the latency (lag time) and can you fly true FPV.... or is the lag time too much? I shoot a lot of action shots (outdoor sports type events) and being able to tilt, pan and follow the subject correctly centered is imperative.

I've looked through many forums and done many searches, even looked at a few YouTube videos, but none has really answered my question.

Any actual user info on this?

Thanks!

Beuller...... Beuller.... (Bump).... nobody has any firm info on this yet? Surely someone out there is using a P3 with FPV goggles?
