Gopro Settings when Shooting over water???

So shooting rowing crews on the lake, typically early morning with sun low on horizon and everything is blown out. Going to try a filter, but any settings on the camera itself you suggest???

You need a polarizing filter to reduce glare. There isn't really much you can do in the settings.
