Going from i pad mini 2 to a mini 4 with cellular ?

Have a P 3 advance, have a I pad Mini 2 wi fi only, is working OK with no video delay. Is there any reason to up grade to a Mini 4 Wi Fi / Cellular and Not Activating the service,but only getting it for the GPS chip built in it and don't really plan on doing the "Follow Me Mode" So what do you give up ?? not having GPS in the Controller and just on the Aircraft only. Thanks

Other than Follow Me, the only other thing you'll be able to do is reset the home point to your current location after taking off. The upgrade is not worth it if you're not going to use either of those features and you're only upgrading to gain the GPS receiver.

Mini 4 will have a faster processor but really not needed if all works ok with mini 2. You can always get maps of the site by creating hotspot with your iphone.

iPad mini 4 is about 30% faster than the iPad mini 2.
