According to the link-- it is another gimbal guard-- googled gimbal guard images and about a dozen comes up and this is one of them.
It must add some extra weight because it is certainly big enough.

Pretty sure the lower brace/guard that spans the landing skids are the same on all P3's

Not true, the Pro/Advanced have 2 notches on the inside that the gimbal guard uses, and the Standard has one, in the center. So if your guard was made for the pro and doesn't have adjustment notches along the whole length, it may not fit in the right place.
