DJI Phantom firmware version 3 is too restrictive for Boston, MA, USA!

I estimation firmware version 3.0 will limit the height to around 50 feet to where this video was taken over Boston Common, a park in Boston. Trees in the park are about that hight, surrounding buildings are a lot taller.

This video will not have been able to me made with the latest update of the firmware.

New Phantom guy here, just placed an order should be here mid week. Oxford MA, Central part of the state. I have been a Heli Pilot for years and stopped flying a couple years ago, but this has my interest peaked. I already have the GoPro. I ordered a Gimbal for it as well. Looking forward to flying this around !

A great video that you made over the park. I am trying to find someone to help me set up my new DJI vision 2. Would be willing to pay u something to help me. Not to good when it comes to reading a 164 page manual and hooking up my I phone to it. Anybody out there in Wakefield? I was flying last night over Lake Quannapowitt after dusk when the unmistakable lights of another Phantom popped up from a nearby yard and flew over to say hello.

I'm in Cambridge and just got my Phantom 2 Vision Plus today. I took it out to Danehy Park and flew my first quadcopter that has a camera on it! Woot!

Nashua NH checking in. Not Mass at all, but grew up in Lowell and plan on doing some flying there. Monday nights are music at the Sampas Pavilion. Last year I would normally kayak over to that and enjoy the show. My P2V+ should arrive Monday, so I think I might try to make it there for some testing.

No, only helps with landing and the phantom not flipping on uneven ground.
