I was practicing flying in our Pecan orchard this afternoon 8-10 feet above the ground. The trees are in rows 50 feet apart and the rows are 900 feet long. Trees are 45 years old so the branches from the rows form arches and touch in the middle of the rows. When the quad was 850-900 feet away from me I experienced some slight video lag. later on I realized I had the rounded dome shaped range extender pointing almost vertical. On low flights should this assembly be tilted more forward rather than up? Thanks...

You should always point the top flat surface of the (round?) wifi range extender in the general direction of the quad. Also, keep the long side of the rc antenna aimed at the quad -- not the point.
