The P3 looks awesome! Too many features to pass up for $1k. But is anyone else concerned that all flights made by P3 are essentially uploaded to DJI? I do follow their posted flying rules, I do have an iphone so I'm used to being tracked by Verizon, but does DJI really need to know everywhere you fly with it?

It's a FAA Thing. This is already going on with all the newly created SDK apps. You have to log in with DJI before you can use the apps. That is said to be about their license.

If someone is super paranoid about this, I'm assuming they could fly with a mobile device that has no data plan. Then again, perhaps the data would be uploaded later when the next firmware update is installed and/or the device connects to a Wi-Fi network while the DJI Pilot app is running.
