Flight controller remote controller?

Can someone tell me what the difference is here? Isn't the flight controller and remote controller the same thing?

Probably way off but I would be thinking that the one serial number relates to its manufacturing date, type and compliance number whilst the other is a unique ID relating to it's registration with DJI.

Flight Controller is the board on the Phantom that controls all aspects of flight and it listens to the Remote Controller.

The flight controller is a device inside the phantom which controls the aircraft something like an autopilot.The IMU is a part of the flight controller.
