Firmware Question GL300C

Hi All !!!

I have a friend with an original P4 which came with a GL300C Controller. Can I take a GL300C from a P3Pro, and replace the firmware with P4 to make it fly his P4 ? Or is P3 and P4 Controller firmware the same, and all I need to do is link it to his bird ??? Thanks !!!!

You can fly a P4 with the P3P remote controller (or vice versa). After linking the bird, DJI GO will prompt you if the remote controller firmware needs to be updated.

The most recent firmware rendered the video feed from my Phantom 4 inoperable. It flys but has essentially no video feed. I'm in line waiting for a fix from DJI.
