Good morning everyone. This may have been discussed before but here is a reminder. With the new firmware, there may be issues when you replace your bird or you have to replace your remote. I have run into this a couple of times. Yesterday I was trying to link a new remote ( from DJI directly with new firmware) to a P3 Standard with old firmware. Of course it would not link. It said it did but the light stayed red. All I got was video and no control. I had to take an older remote I had ( I repair drones so I have extras) and update the drone. Then the new remote would link. I am not sure how it could be done without the older remote to do the updating. Because it is a Standard you have to use the remote and Go app to update. This is not as difficult with the Pro or Advanced as you use the sd card to update. However the same issue will happen with old firmware on one and new firmware on the other.
This has been a public service announcement from Droneted..
