If you plan on editing in LR you should be shooting in RAW.Hi all, just a couple quick questions about photography with the p4p.
Wondering what profile everyone prefers to shoot images with, and any particular settings that work well??
Also, is there any advantage in shooting 16x9 over 4x3 or vice versa??
I will be editing in Lightroom.
Many thanks.
IMHO it's better to shoot in 4:3 as 16:9 is just an automatically cropped view of the 4:3 image. If you choose to record in 4:3 you then have the option of cropping the video manually in post processing should you wish to do so.Hi all, just a couple quick questions about photography with the p4p.

See here:- Image Size 4:3 or 16:9?
But the same still applies to stills. Thanks mate - I am specifically asking about photos, not video.

That's not correct (unless you are talking about the P3 pro or Advanced. Thanks mate - I am specifically asking about photos, not video. But yes, having just read that thread the first thing I will do tomorrow is change the image size to 4:3.
Aaargh! The perils of a P3P owner foolishly straying into the P4 forum!! I was further 'tripped up' by the OP only asking about 4:3 and 16:9!That's not correct (unless you are talking about the P3 pro or Advanced.
To get the largest image from the P4 pro you need to shoot 3:2.
All other image sizes are cropped from that.
3:2 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3648
4:3 Aspect Ratio: 4864 × 3648
16:9 Aspect Ratio: 5472 × 3078
