Make sure it's not stolen, ask for a receipt.
Have the owner take you through all the flight and camera functions.
Do a visual inspection looking for obvious damage.
Make sure the charger works on the RC and any batteries with the package.
Is the latest firmware installed on both the RC and drone.
Inspect any accessories that may come with it for damage.
Start haggling the price if you are happy.
 
Assuming you have an opportunity to inspect The AC do it, even if it's a reasonable drive. Take your own SD card and a device to view images/video. After visual inspection ask the seller to fly it. You want to see a stable hover and that it flys nicely. Know what you are prepared to pay and have the cash with you.
