Decided to try out the Litchi App but being conservative I seem to have been enthusiastic and set the height a bit high.
I planned the flight on the MissionHub and exported it to the iPad.
I did discover that apparently the gimbal can be controlled from the RC during the flight (no idea if this is good or not) but gimbal control probably operates with distance restrictions.
I also ran the flight on the Phantom 4 Pro just in case I managed to drive it into the ground.
It also appears that the P4P and Litchi don't like the iPad Pro I'm running. The Mavic 2 Pro is perfectly happy and operates with no problems so looks like I need to get on line and follow that issue up.
So although the clip is a bit long I'm happy with the end result.
Litchi looks like another handy tool to have.

In general I can probably answer a lot of your questions, if you are using the hub, to create and edit you missions.

You can share your mission, copy past the URL here, but you have to private unchecked.

If you have remote control you pretty much control the camera settings, etc.

The ones I run from my house.

I pick a the camera angle, before I loose signal some times I do a manual correction before the signal goes away.

You wait for the signal to come back, set a timer on phone of the flight time, when it gets close to the time out well turn on Marco Polo.

This is simple mission, the video has the link for the mission.

If you have CC on, you will see the data from litchi with in the flight, you just have to remember turn it on.

This data is saved even though I had no signal for like 8 mins.

Thanks RodPad & will certainly pick your brains.
I note that on the return path of your flight the pine tops seemed to be a bit closer to the Phantom. This was my main concern and why I set my path around 1-200m above ground. Hopefully that will work when I get lower and into the more hilly areas.
It seems that focusing on a Point of Interest works best when you have two Point of Interest markers close together? Then again maybe that's incorrect.
Be interested to know what gimbal angle works best. I assumed gimbal is 90° and set the pitch at -25°.
Still need to read up on interpolate though.
Looks like I'm on a steep learning curve.

First question I have, did you look at the mission on the hub, that's with the YouTube details?

Second when you watched the video did you have CC on?

Even now I lot of the the times I have to figure out the metric system.

If I use litchi its in metric.

100 m = 330'

I found a pine that was 240' on a Litchi mission. It never flew again.

All waypoints around my area have to be at least 100 m.

I'm a pro on finding Phantom Magnets. 🎄

No, didn't think to turn on CC but great to see the info.
Metres aren't a problem because we operate in those but old enough to recall the old Imperial, feet and inches as well (bit rusty though).
So I guess easy way to plan a mission would be to grab a contour map and work off that, bearing in mind 240' pine trees.
I note from the mission profile that you don't use the 'altitude above ground'. Do you know what result this would have on the flight?
I've just been playing around and thought I'd made my Litchi mission public but must have forgotten to save.
Will give it another go but enjoying the thing so far.

There is something I can't quite figure out with the YouTube description and the links.

So, I run 100m AGL.

Is the mission you where looking at?

I have to very careful on my flights because you can't get over 500 m from where you start.

Watch the barometer numbers 100 = 100m.

I can help in many ways, what is important stay on this thread.

I can really get some others to jump in that really know a lot!.

Probably a few watching already.

My mind set is share a mission, you need the private un checked.

Hopefully this will take you to the user guide.
The Litchi web sight, I'm always lost.

I will get back later, but in my sig is
"Litchi with VLM!"

Now that is a learning curve.

Thanks!!
I never seen that before.
Really, OMG!!

Just went back never seen that before.
Anyways, I going to work on mission for a P4.

I will be in the back ground..

Not my thread! 👌

The altitude is based on the launching point. If you select "above ground" the altitude changes with the terrain.

GFields: because I'm on a learning curve I set my last waypoint near waypoint one and instructed it to land. I was working out accuracy, which is pretty good.
In other missions I go for RTH.
Litchi seems to be a great bit of kit though and fun to play with.
