Drones used to deliver drugs, cellphones and other contraband to Delano prison, documents say
Seems one drone in the article was a Phantom 3 Standard delivering the goods over the prison in a black bag using a drop mechanism.
Interesting if one looks at the DJI NFZ map ( DJI - The World Leader in Camera Drones/Quadcopters for Aerial Photography ), their NFZ in red over that prison is maybe too far to the north. The edge of the prison is close to Garces Highway where on the DJI NFZ map it is further north. If the P3 Std. had active NFZ GPS firmware, then it might still be able to get within the radius DJI marks as a lock out. DJI might have to revisit their NFZ mapping accuracy if it is wrong, or extend the radius further to maybe a one mile radius.
Thinking about how the guards got a hold of the drone, wonder if it hit the DJI NFZ GPS wall since it looks like part of the red NFZ zone covers the prison and another part doesn't due to the map offset, maybe the thing auto-landed itself inside the prison grounds.
