Where would you place it. The body of the parachute rotates 45 degrees when deployed to stop the props.

Good question - I'm not sure. Could it go above the parachute system, or would that be a problem?

That would be the optimal place for reception. But the chute is not a permanent structure and anything placed on top would most surely interfere with deployment.
