Radio frequencies have harmonics and sub- harmonics. Ie take the frequency and double it ..repeat...take the frequency and half it ..repeat and keep going! Is a simplistic answer...and somewhere in the numbers is possibly more than one which could be received and affect the signal. Then there is overload...ie proximity to the transmitter....and then.....in fact there are lots of things can affect received signals or block them. Which is why they don't allow phones to be used in commercial passenger planes..although it's changing. How would a cell phone interfere with its control ?
