DJI Go editor is useless for greater than 1080p

Just purchased an iPad mini 4. I still don't get instant upload of my videos to the DJI video editor. I'm assuming if the video is shot In greater res than 1080p it won't instant download to the editor because whenever I try to download from the sd card I get a message that says anything other than 720p or 1080p can't be downloaded to my device. It is set to "recording" wth?
