5s is to old and slow for the new go app maybe it was ok for the go app from 3 or 4 years ago but it wont be allowed to download new versions unless jail broken and would not work good even then.

5s has a tiny amount of ram memory & slow cpu. storage memory isnt the same as ram.
Yes it's too bad that as phones and tablets became commonplace, people who didn't know any better, and now even device manufacturers, started calling 'storage' memory... so now, that misnomer is commonplace also... very confusing for the average person.

Normally the Appstore write some specs of requirement of hard and software.

Does litchi work as a app for iPhone 5s. I don’t want to purchase something that won’t work

Hi I'm far from an expert, but, it does work on my ancient android tablet perfectly...
I dont know if they have the same requirements but if itll run on a near useless tablet I'd guess it'd work fine.
You know apple......

Sorry to resurrect this old thread.

Sure the iPhone 5s is old but DJI still lists as a compatible device for Go (see DJI GO - Download Center - DJI)

My case is this. I have a P3A I used a few times per year, well maintained, never crashed, batteries maintenance-charged for storage etc.

Last summer while camping my backpack was stolen. It contained the two devices I used for DJI GO and my P3A (i.e. my old android phone - a Huawei Honor 5- and an also old iPad Air).

Since then the P3A is grounded because I cannot get the DJI Go to work.

I tried my new android phone. App starts but does not connect (and OS also complains about having developer mode enabled which it considers a security issue).

I was gifted an iPhone 5s with iOS 12+, sure it would work as DJI states so. App starts, shows splash screen then closes.

So my question is. Does anyone still use the iPhone 5s for DJI Go?

I am considering litci but wait as my sister voluntered to give me her old (but newer) iPhone to try. But would love to have a device of my own for the p3a and was sertain the 5s would work (as -again- it is listed compatible)

A final thought. This policy many companies adopt to abandon support for their old products has stopped me on bying their new ones. It is MY policy, for drones (I was into FPV buliding for a few years), computers, cars or whatever, tech or not. We have enough garbage in this world without delibeatlty abandoing usable items.
