DJI Go 4

So I have a phantom 4 and I have an older Ipad running version 10.3.3 and it says its not compatible with the app. Why do they have restrictions on what devices can be used? Any suggestions or is it possible a newer version of DJI go 4 will allow it? Do I just need to get a different tablet to run it?

Thank you that is what I thought. Works great on the phantom 3 app so figured it would on the 4 as well.
