DIY Antenna Booster for Phantom 3

Video that shows how to test the shape of my antenna boosters with a laser to make sure the accuracy of parabolic curve. No matter where the beam hit, it would reflect to the antenna.

The best way to "deflect" a antena with vertical polarization in this case, is to build a vertical deflector...

Any radio ham here to confirm?

Hello all. Well getting the last all packed up and on there way. I Just listed More of my Org Windsurfer design that mounts to the controller and 2 New designs! that mount on the Antennas. 1 Design splits the antennas up so that you can use the windsurfers Parallel to each other and also spit them up and use them at a 45 or "V" Shaped as some of you like to do. The other design is just like that one but is a full solid part that mounts on the antennas and keeps the antennas Parallel. Take a look at the video here:

Any difference in signal strength from your first version-- different design?? I have the first version -- is this an upgrade?

This is the proper configuration for vertical polarization.

Ordered mine from eBay, got them, flew 11k+ feet away at 400ft. Popped the booster off, lost all signal. Put them back on, full bars and bird was on it's way home. Highly recommend this inexpensive booster.

That's the one I made and wrote a review on. On first flight I flew over 8700 feet but it is flimsy at best and I wanted something a little more permanent. I'm actually going to use the one I made to get extra distance on my computer router at home.
