So there is a lot of information for carrying and dropping a payload but nearly zero information for delivering a payload to a vertical surface.
My application is to deliver a 450g payload to a vertical antenna tower . The payload has high power magnets to attach it to the tower however the payload must be carried away from the center of gravity and beyond the propellers and propeller wash. In theory the payload could be mounted to a rod extending out from the drone both fore and aft. Then a counter balance applied to the rod opposite of the of the payload, however the counterbalance would have to either be released or move after delivery of the payload to correct the change in center of gravity.
I would like to hear other ideas if anyone has attempted anything like this?
