Has any one used DatCon to view log files? Microsoft Defender says it is a risk when I start to zip the download.
Is it worth the risk?

Yes...Its is perfectly safe and very well done. Datcon is really for the aircraft files. CSV View ( Also by @BudWalker ) will view the .txt and .csv files.

I use it often. Make sure you download it from the DatCon website.

Microsoft Defender may deem it a risk just because it's a .zip. Never the less, it's always a good ideas to be cautious. I checked this morning and the current download is identical to the .zip that I uploaded a few days ago. If you like you could Dropbox the .zip you downloaded and send a link to [email protected]. I'll check it against my copy.
