Compass error question

I was flying around the local football field and suddenly I recieved "compass error"....it happened so fast I'm not exactly sure what was on the phone screen but later found this in flight log....abnormal compass function or gps function detected switching to atti mode...I was close to the metal field goals...could all of the metal cause this type of problem...

I have had the problem a lot in my standard. Search the thread you'll see the previous comments. Calibrate IMU and compass is what DJI support told me.

Bill did ur IMU and compass calibration eliminate the problem...my IMU and compass calibration had been done recently...

Yes. You should not calibrate the compass, take off, and/or fly near any type of magnetic metal objects.
