COMPASS CAL?

I have a battery with intermittent problems, and got a message COMPASS CALIBRATION REQUIRED. Changed to good battery and no compass caution. on vacation and don't have my computer with the rc program, is it safe to fly???

You should be fine with the good battery but why the other battery is bringing up an error is a puzzle.
If it's genuinely interfering with the compass, that would cause problems in flight.

knock off battery that has metal straps in it? I get the error if I boot up with it sitting on car hood.
