Communicating with Drone/Using DJI Assistant2

I recently purchased my P4Pro+ & I'm trying to update the firmware.

When I am asked to connect the controller (I bought the controller with the display) to the drone & get to the 'start updating' screen the 'start updating' box stays gray & the drone light just flashes red. Nothing else happens..I waited an hour & the drone light kept flashing red & the 'start updating' box remains grayed out.

I figured I'd try to do the update from DJI Assistant2 on my macbook but I downloaded the DJI Assistant2 for my mac, went through the install process & can't seem to find the actual program to launch...all that shows up is the installation package...no program seems to be on my computer to actually launch.

Any/all help would be greatly appreciated.

Interestingly enough the solution was 'hidden' in the video you attached.

1. The cable seems to need to be attached with the adapter cable attached to the drone (not the controller).
2. It seems like powering on both the controller & drone at the same time was necessary too.

Once I did both of these things I was easily able to download the firmware update & upload it to the P4.
