Catching the northern lights (aurora borealis) from P3?

I live far up north in Norway, and the northern lights can be seen almost every night. What is the best way to catch it with my P3A? I tried yesterday - ascended to 300m - hover and 8s shutter.
It seemed like the red lights on my phantom made the picture blurry and bad, and also the drone isn't that steady when it comes to using 8s shutter.

What kind of settings would you recommend? Should I do something with the lights on the drone? What altitude?
Usually I do northern lights photos with a shutter time of 15s and longer.

You can turn the red lights off on the drone via the app. If the rear lights are also an issue, a bit of gaffer's tape will take care of that.

You can and should turn off the front LED lights. Its just a setting in the app.

Seeing the Northern Lights is something I have on my bucket list. Just so awesome!

They are incredible, and make me feel so insignificant like most amazing astronomical objects.

I am so annoyed they were visible from Southern Britain last night and I missed them!!!

The phantom may be stable but 8s is way too long - that needs a solid tripod!
Some people manage 3 secs but no longer.

In interior Alaska we see them a lot, but when they are out its usually too **** cold to be flying a Phantom around.
