Have you read the manual? You can download it from here Phantom 3 Standard - Specs, FAQ, manual, video tutorials and DJI GO - DJI

There are also some tutorials at the link and and more instructional videos on YouTube.

Check out the Quick Start Guide that came in the Phantom box. That should help you get everything set up.

The first time, to me there is no simple instructions.

Do everything these people suggest. Flying is easy. What you need to do is understand how/why it works, especially all of the return to home situations. Know what to do and more importantly, know what the Phantom is going to do if you happen to lose control.

Personally, I found the simulator to be a huge help in understanding what the controls do. When you're ready, find a big open field free of obstacles. Then take off, send it out a ways and practice bringing it back. Keep it simple.

Simulator definitely would help if you have no other RC experience or knowledge of aerodynamics.........

Lots of then available for free.
