cannot upgrade firmware

Hi I am new to this just bought a Phantom 3 professional having problem setting up trying to upgrade firmware on plane but can't unpack bin file i am using iMac any suggetions please

Never used a mac but are you sure you have software to unzip the file? Like win zip on a PC?

You don't need to unpack the .bin file. Just copy it to the top level of your SD card and turn on the Phantom; the update should start automatically.

Incidentally, why aren't you using the DJI GO mobile app to update your firmware?

DJI GO cannot update the firmware on a Phantom 3.

The OP is flying a Phantom 3 Professional. Trust me. It's not possible
