Can you fly within Cities & Night with CAA Approval

Setting up a drone business and cant find any info on if you can fly at night or within cities if you have CAA approval.

I was just wondering what the rules are on this in the UK as may have jobs in the city and also for night photos. Also if with AA Approval you can do this is it also ok for personal to build up portfolio?

As far as I know you would need specific waivers for each flight

Ok thanks do you mean i'd need to request them before each flight and get approval as that wouldnt be ideal like.

If you don't fly for commercial you do need permit to fly at night, if it's for recreational then you don't, how does that make sense?!

Yep, your permission covers you for daylight flying only - 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after sunset.

Night flights and missions over congested areas require extended permissions and are dealt with on a case by case basis.
