Can i use 5.8 Ghz Vtx with Phantom V2+

Recently i crashed my phantom v2+ gimbal and camera is gone for ever .
My tx is 5.8
Can i use video tx of same frequency with my phantom , i have a 5.8 boscam video tx

my understanding is that the video/telemetry is xmitted on 2.4Ghz and the control TO the bird is on the 5Ghz channel. You may have some interference and/or control issues, it would depend upon the exact frequencies and harmonics plus the power levels of each transmitter.

So basically, I don't know
