Just setup new Phantom 4. Although the camera is not working. It get incredibly hot and not control. Am I doing something wrong? Camera worked once, and now now it hangs down and will not move. it still transmits an image, but zero control. so is this a bum phantom 4 pro or operator error?

New out of the box may have some shipping foam the supports the camera, make sure you removed it along with the plastic gimbal clamp.
It should not get hot. I would ensure it moves freely when powered off and it is still failing after you power it up, I would return it promptly.

I went over it throughly when I opened it. I worked once for 30 seconds. Going to return it. Thank you.
